So you want to work in Aotearoa/New Zealand? That's fantastic! However to work in New Zealand, there is a requirement for all migrant workers to have a work visa. These are tightly controlled by the Government.
An employer must be accredited to apply, on your behalf, to bring you to work in this country. The employer scheme is called Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
Additionally, there are exemption lists where New Zealand has a shortage of workers in critical areas of the economy. There is a list of Critical Workers including short term (6 months or less) and long term (more than six months). Typically, there is a limited period when Immigration New Zealand will accept expressions of interest for exemption approvals. Following this limited period, applications are closed until a need is determined.
Please check the job listing carefully to see if the employer has mentioned their ability to hire migrants.
